”Have you ever rediscovered a journey through a single image?”
The “The Mountain as a School” workshop draws inspiration from the photography and storytelling of youth in the Subadult Bird Project, leading participants into a profound dialogue on outdoor education. From mountain trails and river valleys to starry skies, the workshop invites reflection through images and narratives on the role of mentors, the transformation of young people, and the educational power inherent in nature.
The workshop will feature a screening of the documentary “96 Hours in the Wild: I Too Can Be Brave,” followed by a post-film discussion. Educators, outdoor practitioners, and all those who care about youth development are invited to join in sharing and reflecting on learning and companionship in outdoor experiences.
